Finnan Marris
Commoner
Finnan Marris
Species
Human
Appearance
Small, layered, and deliberate. Finnan wears a faded hood that never quite hides the ring of pale scars across his right jaw. His face is freckled, and streaks of soot gather along the hairline and behind the ears. His hands are calloused in different ways: the left palm shows the thin white lines of someone who once carried fine pottery, the right palm has the deep gouge marks of someone who once fought for his life. He walks with a lithe, unpredictable rhythm that seems to measure the space around him. When he sits to beg he arranges a curious display: a dented pewter cup, three polished river stones, and a child's carved wooden horse tied to a string. Unexpectedly, when he laughs his voice temporarily loses its usual gravel and becomes high and clear, like a schoolboy's.
“Speaks Common with a light Harbor accent; tends to end sentences with a soft chuckle or a rueful aside.”

Always carries a child's carved wooden horse
Callused left hand with pottery scars

Clothing
Threadbare layered tunics patched with odd fabrics, one sleeve turned inside out to hide a clean cuff beneath, a battered hooded cloak with many tiny sewn-in pockets, a faded blue scarf with a single embroidered anchor that once belonged to the merchant who spared him.
Body Language
Fidgets with the carved horse when thinking. Keeps shoulders slightly hunched and feet ready to spring. When telling a story his hands paint quick, precise motions like shaping clay.
