Appearance
Raven-black hair piled into a high, practical bun threaded with small animal bones and sinew, front bangs falling into her face like a curtain. Her amber eyes are pin-sharp, as if lit from within, and she habitually regards people as if listening for something they can't hear. She favors loose, self-made garments of smoked leathers and layered furs that hang and sway with a purposeful, almost predatory grace. There is a thin scar along her collarbone, a faded smear of ash at the left temple, and a beauty mark on her left cheek that she touches when thinking. Despite the wildness of her garb she keeps a careful, almost fastidious set of bone charms and flasks at her belt; an unexpected polish on some teeth and beads gives her an odd air of refined menace. She moves like someone used to wading—light-footed, but with the weight of someone who can anchor herself to the earth at a moment's notice. Her normal expression is displeased and frowning, but when she smiles it is unexpectedly small and private, making that moment feel like theft.
“Sparse and precise with salty fen-accented vowels; uses plant and tide metaphors. When relaxed, her words drift into lilting, repetitive phrases like a chant.”
