Appearance
Thadyr moves like a man half-remembered from a childhood story: slow, deliberate steps that end in a dancer's precise balance. His robe is the pale, threadbare blue of library pages smudged by decades of thumbprints; the fabric is embroidered with tiny, almost-faded sigils that glitter when light strikes them wrong. His face is a map of tiny scars and laugh lines, and the skin of his left cheek is faintly puckered by a burn that never quite healed. One eye is a bright, pin-prick green that misses nothing; the other is milky and swirls faintly with a silvery rune whenever he concentrates. Against expectation, his fingers are nimble and callused, and he tucks a length of braided sea-glass and slate beads into his beard—an odd adornment for a city scholar. When he walks, a faint scent of sea-salt and old paper follows him, and he leaves behind the phantom echo of pages turning.
“Measured, occasionally elliptical. He uses temporal metaphors and probability phrasing: 'There are three mornings where that could go well' or 'Let us not borrow tomorrow's certainty.”

Distinguishing Features
Milky left eye that shows arcane runes when casting
Braided sea-glass and small ledger charms in his beard
A fine burn-scar arc across his left cheek
A thumb callus worn smooth as if often turning the same page
Voice
“Low, parchment-rough and well-practiced in the cadence of lecture; slightly breathy when excited, with a dry chuckle that sounds like pages turning.”
Clothing
Faded scholar's robe layered over a practical waistcoat, sea-glass beads braided into his beard, a heavy leather satchel creased and splattered with ink and salt, soft-soled boots for silent pacing.
Body Language
Thadyr keeps his hands near his satchel or staff; he taps runic patterns on surfaces to think and often inclines his head as if listening to an internal clock. When worried, he folds his hands and fingers in complex, practiced patterns.
