Captain Siltmaw Rook
Rogue
Captain Siltmaw Rook
Species
Wormfolk (worm humanoid)
Appearance
A long, sinuous torso like a boreworm covered in overlapping chitinous rings etched with mineral dust and old graffiti. She moves with a loping, sinuous crawl that ends in an upright coil when she wants to look someone in the eye. Wears a battered tricorne hat slanted over a ridge of headplates and a torn, salt-stiff scarf that smells faintly of ember smoke. Her underside is softer and paler, with callused, thumblike ridges used for grasping tools. Unexpectedly, she keeps a small polished mirror strapped to her belt and checks it often, arranging a single blue feather she proudly plucked from a sea-bird once.
“Drawls in a salty, rhythmic cadence; punctuates boasting with mining metaphors. Uses a softer, hushed tone when speaking of tunnels and family.”

Distinguishing Features
Chitin rings etched with mineral dust and faint rune-like graffiti
A blue feather tucked in her hat
A small polished mirror fastened to her belt
Voice
“Rough and resonant like a wind through a pipe, with a quick laugh and a habit of trailing off into humming old miner shanties”
Clothing
A patched leather jerkin reinforced with small iron plates, a battered tricorne hat with a feather, a salt-stiff scarf, a belt of pockets and loops for tools and trinkets, and boot-like coverings on the forward rings so her underside does not wear on the deck.
Body Language
Half of her body undulates constantly; when nervous the upper coils knot and her hat tips in a quick, sheepish way. She taps the ground lightly to communicate emphasis and drums with a mining pick when thinking.
