Sura Vane
Ritualist Cartographer
Sura Vane
Species
Rock Gnome
Appearance
Sura is a wiry, hunched figure who appears as if she were folded out of aged parchment. Her skin is pale and translucent, showing a web of blue veins that resemble river systems on a map. She wears a complex clockwork monocle with four interchangeable lenses that click loudly as she adjusts her focus. Her movements are sharp and mechanical, lacking any fluid grace. Most notably, her fingernails have been filed into fine points to serve as emergency styluses, permanently stained with a deep, alchemical indigo ink. She leaves a faint scent of ozone and dried vellum wherever she lingers.
“Clipping, precise, and filled with architectural jargon. She refers to people as 'perpendicular' or 'deviant variables.”

Distinguishing Features
Inky indigo stains on her fingertips and lips
A clockwork monocle with rotating brass gears
Filed, needle-pointed fingernails
A twitch in her left cheek that triggers when she sees organic curves
Voice
“High-pitched, rapid-fire, and raspy, like parchment rubbing together.”
Clothing
She wears a heavy leather apron stiffened by dried resins, layered over a high-collared charcoal tunic. Her belt is a chaotic mess of scroll cases, protractors, and small vials of shimmering magnetic sand.
Body Language
Frequent glancing at her watch, constant measuring gestures with her hands, and a stiff-backed posture that suggests she is trying to be a straight line.
