Mirelle Nettlequill
Wizard (School of Lore — homebrew-flavored, academic focus)
Mirelle Nettlequill
Species
Rock Gnome
Appearance
Short and plump with a posture that suggests both perpetual curiosity and the tendency to carry too many books at once. Mirelle moves with small, precise steps, as if navigating the air between sentences; when excited, she paces in tight circles and snaps a quill behind one ear. Her robe collars are often dusted with chalk and powdered mica from shelving charms. Unexpectedly, she wears a battered brass monocle perched above her left eyebrow that magnifies nothing and only slides down when she squints — a habit from a past injury she never quite repaired properly. Her hands are ink-stained at the fingertips, and the inside hem of her robe contains dozens of tiny stitched pockets, each labeled in neat, cramped handwriting.
“Precise, quick, and habitually parenthetical: she peppers sentences with aside-phrases and scholarly references, often trailing into a mumbled footnote. Laughs like a clock chime with a rasp in the middle.”

Distinguishing Features
Brass monocle permanently perched above left eyebrow that is slightly too large for her face
Faint pale burn-scar in the shape of a star on the inside of her wrist
Stitched pockets labeled in multiple languages along the robe hem
Ink-stained fingertips and the faint scent of old paper and cinnamon
Voice
“High, slightly reedy with the rasp of many late-night lectures; speeds up when excited and softens into a comforting cadence when soothing apprentices.”
Clothing
Layered scholar's robe of indigo faded to teal at the cuffs, a vest with inked marginalia sewn into its lining, practical trousers, soft-soled boots worn thin at the toes, and a waist-sash from which hang measuring twines, an abacus, and a slim spell-scroll roll.
Body Language
Wringing hands when nervous, tapping a quill against her lip when thinking, hugging books to her chest when threatened, and shuffling forward on tiptoe to peer closely at small things.
