Bromm Hardcap
Fighter
Bromm Hardcap
Species
Dwarf
Appearance
Bromm is a squat, barrel-chested dwarf with hands callused from both hammer haft and tankard. His beard is braided into three ropes that are singed at the tips and threaded with tiny hammered copper trinkets — a miner's bead, a coin stamped with an old hold's crest, and a sliver of a broken horseshoe. His skin bears the fine network of scars and burn marks common to smiths and fighters; a pale crescent scar arcs over his left eyebrow. He walks with the deliberate, confident stomp of someone used to keeping a room in order, yet moves with surprising nimbleness when sliding between crowded tables. Unexpectedly, he wears a faded traveler's scarf made of soft green wool — an odd, almost tender contrast to his rough exterior. When he laughs his eyes crinkle and he tends to clap his palms together as if sealing a deal.
“Gruff, curt sentences punctuated with hearty laughs. He uses miner and smithing metaphors often ('that plan's solid as headstone') and addresses people with blunt nicknames.”
