Kaylen Draemir
Blood Hunter (Order of the Ghost-Slayer)
Kaylen Draemir
Species
Elf
Appearance
Kaylen moves like a reed in winter wind—deliberate, almost too quiet for an elven frame. He favors a long, ashen cloak that is threadbare at the hem but bound with clipped silver pins that catch moonlight; beneath it his studded leather is polished to a dull, nonreflective sheen. His left eye carries a faint silver luminescence, not enough to blind but enough to make faces at the edge of vision look wrong. A narrow, pale scar runs from the base of his throat along the collarbone—soft tissue healed oddly, as if sewn with ghost-thread. At times his breath fogs as if from cold even in warm rooms, a small spiderweb of frost that disappears when he laughs. Contradiction: his hands are always clean, nails trimmed and immaculate, yet his boots and cloak bear old dried mud and the smell of funeral herbs. The overall impression is of someone half-present: a living sentinel who has invited cold and patience into his bones.
“Measured, soft-lilted with old elven cadences; uses archaic Draemir phrases and occasionally slips into a guttural, older dialect when invoking rites. Often punctuates sentences with a short, quiet proverb: 'We guard the living from the silence of the grave.”
