Kreehmir Siltjaw
Barbarian
Kreehmir Siltjaw
Species
Tortle
Appearance
A broad-backed tortle the size of a small ox, with a carapace pitted like river-slick basalt and etched scars that curve like fossilized waves. Along the rear crest of his shell are four jagged ridges of pale ivory, like broken teeth, that catch the light when he turns. His skin is leathery and lined, patterned with faint spirals of moss-green pigment that shimmer when he moves. He wears a single battered fur mantle over one shoulder, a belt of braided kelp and rope across his shell, and a length of braided copper wire wound into a crude circlet that sits askew behind his ear. Unexpectedly, dangling from that wire is a tiny glass vial of bright blue sand that rings softly when he walks. His movements are surprisingly slow and deliberate until anger flares, at which point he lunges with startling speed.
“Speaks in low, gravelly phrases with long pauses between thoughts; uses coastal idioms and tide-metaphors often.”
