Sister Oona Vaelis
Spirit Speaker
Sister Oona Vaelis
Species
Salt-Stained Human
Appearance
Oona moves with a fluid, hypnotic gait that suggests she is walking through knee-deep water even on dry land. Her skin is the texture of fine parchment soaked in brine and dried in the sun, crisscrossed with faint white lines like receding surf. Her most striking feature is her hair, which is not truly hair but a mass of living, translucent sea-grass that pulses with a faint bioluminescent green when she is agitated. Her presence is cooling, like a damp fog, and she often leaves faint, damp footprints behind her regardless of the weather. One of her eyes is a piercing Atlantic blue, while the other is a milky, cataract-covered white that she claims allows her to see the 'currents of the soul'.
“Her voice is melodic but has a hollow, bubbling resonance, as if she is speaking through a thin layer of liquid..”
