Species

Appearance
Kawaka Myna is an anthropomorphic crow, with lustrous black feathers that appear slightly molted in subtle patterns. His beady brown eyes glint with perpetual curiosity, often magnified comically by his enormous round spectacles that bob perilously at the end of his narrow beak. He wears baggy moss-green robes, their texture soft and flecked with ink stains from careless note-taking. Despite his hunched, bookwormish posture, he moves with jerky, unpredictable grace, like a bird startled on the ground. Most unexpected is a silvered ring through his left talon, a memento of his youth.
“His sentences flutter rapidly, skipping over syllables, and often peppered with impossibly archaic references and odd idioms. When startled or lying, his speech becomes clipped.”
