Talen Vyr-Karre
Hexblade Warlock (Pact of the Blade)
Talen Vyr-Karre
Species
Half-elf (Vyrian Coast heritage)
Appearance
Talen moves like someone who learned grace in cramped alleys and formal parlors alike: purposeful, with a dancer's economy. He favors a hood that shadows half his face and keeps the other half angled toward the light so his smile is always slightly askew. His skin bears a faint map of pale scars across the left cheek — old knife work—stitched by a friend who refused money for hospital care. His left hand is clasped by a black leather bracer studded with tiny runes that glimmer at night; when he relaxes his fingers, silver dust sometimes flutters from the bracer as if it sheds sleep. Unexpectedly, he hums lullabies in an old coastal cadence when nervy or nervous, and his boots are always scuffed but polished in the toes. The overall impression is of a man who belongs equally to the docks, a study, and a shadowed throne room.
“Wry, economical; favors clipped sentences and metaphor drawn from sea life. Occasionally adds old dockyard proverbs and slips into soft, rhythmic nursery-cadence when telling stories.”

Distinguishing Features
Two-toned eyes (sea-green and clouded gray)
Pale scar across left cheek shaped like a crescent moon
Black leather bracer with rune-studs that sheds silver dust at night
Hums coastal lullabies when anxious
Voice
“Warm, slightly husky with coastal intonation; smiles audible in the voice and rarely raises it above conversational range.”
Clothing
A dark blue, high-collared coat cut narrow at the waist and flared at the hips, lined with dull bronze thread in a wave pattern; layered with a faded mariner's sash, fitted leather trousers, and a wrap of soot-stained linen that doubles as a mask. He wears several mismatched rings: one a simple iron band on the right thumb, a thin signet of an extinct merchant house on the pinky, and a ring of polished jet on his left index that he treats like a talisman.
Body Language
Keeps one hand near his bracer/weapon; leaning forward when engaged and leaning back when he distrusts someone. Tends to tilt his head toward the green eye when calculating trust.
