Species

Appearance

A lean man wrapped in layered dark linen that blends shaolin robe flow with ninja practicality. He wears a ragged charcoal band bound across his eyes — frayed at the edges, stained with salt and ash — tied with a knot at the nape of his neck. When he moves, his robes whisper instead of swishing, as if the fabric itself respects silence. His fingertips are callused and ink-stained from maps and sutures; his knuckles bear faint circular scars, the result of a half-century of ritual striking practice. When standing still he looks like a folded shadow; when he springs he becomes a single, precise line. Unexpectedly, the inside of his robe is embroidered with bright, childish cranes in vermilion and gold — a relic from a happier apprenticeship that peeks out only when he trains or sleeps.

Height5'10" (178 cm)
BuildRidged, sinewy, deceptively wiry; muscles lean like taut cords
EyesHidden behind bandage — pupils pale and sightless from an old injury; when the bandage is briefly loosened his eyes appear milky blue
HairSalt-and-iron black, cropped short at the nape, with a single thin silver braid that falls over his left shoulder
SkinOlive-tanned, weathered by long hours in sun and steam

Measured, soft, with short, deliberate sentences. Uses proverbs sparingly.”

Voice

Low, gravel-soft tenor with a calm cadence; rises into a tight, sharper register when angered or protective.

Body Language

Controlled — small, economical gestures; tends to face his shoulder rather than turn fully, as if listening with the whole body; rarely meets eyes (bandage) but tilts head toward sound sources.
