Maerion Halwreth
Wizard
Maerion Halwreth
Species
Human
Appearance
A bundled silhouette of old robes and slow, precise gestures. He moves as if every motion has been timed to music only he can hear. His robes are layered like the rings of a tree, each hem embroidered with sigils from a different era of the guild. Under the robes, his spine is slightly curved but he carries himself with a calm certainty. When he walks, the hem of his outer robe does not touch the ground; it seems to hover an inch above the floor as if repelled by a faint field of light. Unexpectedly, one of his hands is gloved in bright red leather while the other bare hand is ink-stained, the fingers tinted with purple from decades of potion sketches and spell diagrams. Close observers notice his left sleeve is pinned with a tiny broken sundial that still ticks faintly.
“Measured, with a clear enunciation and a touch of old-city cadence. He often adds archaic wording for emphasis.”

Distinguishing Features
One red leather glove among otherwise scholarly attire
A tiny broken sundial pinned to his sleeve that still ticks faintly
Ink-stained fingertips on his right hand
Voice
“A dry, resonant tenor that rarely rises above conversational volume. When he grows angry his words become surgical and precise.”
Clothing
Layered scholar's robes in deep indigo and ash, threadbare at the elbows but meticulously mended. A string of small glass vials and keys hangs at his belt. One glove of bright red leather and many hidden pockets.
Body Language
Measured and economical. He rarely gestures broadly; instead he taps his fingertips together when considering a problem and inclines his head slightly before disagreeing. In conversation he studies hands more than faces.
