Kessan Virelly
Rogue (Thief-adjacent, street operator)
Kessan Virelly
Species
Human (city-born)
Appearance
Kessan moves like a shadow that remembers something joyful — quick, economical, and always scanning for an exit. He is lean, with long-fingered hands that look more like an artisan's tools than a pickpocket's. He wears a battered, charcoal-gray hooded jacket whose inside is patched with bright, impossible scraps of silk; the inner lining is always oddly pristine. A faint silver burn scar arcs down his left cheek, almost decorative in its curve. When he walks he favors the balls of his feet, knees slightly bent, as if perpetually ready to spring. Unexpectedly, his left sleeve is cuffed with a child's woolen bracelet — a gaudy knot of crimson and blue yarn that clings to him like a relic.
“Quick, nasal, with a tendency to end sentences on a playful burr. Uses city slang and often shortens words; when sincere he slows and speaks with unnerving clarity.”

Silver crescent burn scar on left cheek
Child's wool bracelet tied to left sleeve
Inner jacket lining patterned with bright silk scraps
Left index finger nicked and dulled by a permanent white callus
Voice
“Light and fast, with a rasp on his consonants; rises when excited, drops to a surprising low when making threats”

Layered dark leathers and cloth: a close-fitting studded leather vest under the patched hooded jacket, tight trousers, soft-soled boots that mute footsteps. He carries a slender satchel worn at the hip and a rolled-up climbing harness of braided cord that looks homemade.
Body Language
Always angled toward an exit; uses exaggerated hand gestures when telling a story; closes himself off physically when embarrassed by folding his arms and tucking his left sleeve into his palm to hide the bracelet
