Saereth Vhalin
Monk
Saereth Vhalin
Species
Half-Elf
Appearance
Saereth moves as if the air itself remembers where her limbs will be. She wears her dark half-elven features like a well-tailored cloak: smooth cheekbones with a faint, pale scar that arcs from left ear to jaw (an old training wound). Her skin has the faint honeyed warmth of someone raised in coastal valleys; her forearms are crosshatched with pale calluses and shallow healed burns from temple incense. Her gait alternates between a relaxed, almost lazy sway and sudden, economical precision—like a pendulum that occasionally snaps into a blade. Unexpectedly, she keeps one of her boots exquisitely scuffed and the other immaculately polished, an affectation she claims helps her 'hear the road'. When she stands still she folds her hands as if in meditation, but her shoulders are always coiled, ready to uncurl. In dim light the gold flecks in her irises catch like sparks; in the sun they look almost slate. Overall impression: someone calming and oddly watchful, as if you’ve encountered a guiding hand that might also loosen your neck from your shoulders if you’re careless.
“Measured, low-voiced, with a slight lilt from river-dialect elvish. She uses short declarative sentences in conflict but will elaborate into soft, storylike metaphors when calming others.”

Distinguishing Features
Pale curved scar from ear to jaw (training wound)
Single silver streak in otherwise black hair
Mismatched boots (one immaculate, one scuffed)
Small faded elven sigil sewn inside her cloak
Callused fingers and faint burn marks on forearms

“Low, slightly husky with a soft river-dialect lilt; quickens when excited, flattens when angry.”
Clothing
A muted hemp gi dyed deep indigo, fitted leather bracers, a wrapped sash with stitched symbols of three rivers, a weathered travel cloak with many inner pockets and a hidden seam that carries a faded elven sigil. One boot is polished black leather; the other is heavily patched with pieces of different hides. A string of wooden prayer-beads hangs at her waist, threaded through a loop of braided red cord.
Body Language
Minimal extraneous motion; fingers continuously find rhythm (tapping beads, tracing seams). Often inclines head slightly when listening. When preparing to fight, she breathes lower and widens her stance imperceptibly.
