Silas Vane
Artificer (Alchemist)
Silas Vane
Species
Human
Appearance
Silas is a man of jarring contrasts. He stands unusually tall and willow thin, with fingers that seem a joint too long and are perpetually stained with shimmering cobalt ink. He moves with a frantic, bird-like energy, yet his hands are steady enough to dismantle a clockwork soul without a tremor. Most striking are his eyes, which are hidden behind thick, brass-rimmed spectacles with rotating crystalline lenses that click as he focuses. While his workbench is a chaotic sprawl of gears and scrolls, his own appearance is fastidious, though he frequently forgets that he has tucked a smoking pipe or a stray quill into his messy, salt and pepper hair.
“Silas speaks in rapid-fire, run-on sentences when excited, frequently interrupting himself to correct his own grammar or technical terminology..”
