Appearance

Omayi moves like someone used to lecturing to crowded halls: deliberate, with one hand often tracing invisible diagrams in the air. She wears a long, dust-faded robe embroidered with tiny silver sigils of dreaming gods; the robe's cuffs are clean and meticulously mended. Her right eye is bright and alert, while the skin above her left temple bears a thin, pale scar in the shape of a crescent — a souvenir from a reckless field expedition. When she walks she carries a battered leather satchel full of notes and a thin folded reed fan painted with an old map of sleeping shrines. Unexpectedly, she often hums nursery tunes in a low, almost private tone when thinking aloud, which both undermines and humanizes her scholarly authority.

Distinguishing Features

Crescent-shaped scar above left temple

Left eye slightly clouded and a faint ring that glows when she studies dreams

A small ink-stamped seal on the inside of her right wrist used for field cataloging

Voice

Warm alto with a crisp academic cadence; words are precise, sometimes interlaced with archaic dream-phrases.

Clothing

Dust-faded indigo robe embroidered with silver dream sigils, layered linen vest with hidden pockets, practical boots, thin silver circlet worn as a scholarly mark, and a battered leather satchel covered in travel tags and sticky notes

Body Language

Frequently folds hands into scholarly stances; when nervous she taps her left wrist where the ink-stamp is; in heated debate she tilts forward, eyes bright, and sketches arcs in the air to illustrate connections.
