Krand: Hops Brinegood
Bard
Krand: Hops Brinegood
Species
Halfling
Appearance
A pocket of ocean wrapped in a person. Hops is small and round in the halfling way, cheeks permanently flushed with the color of spent cider. His skin bears a faint, irregular network of silvery scars that wind across his forearms and throat like dried salt lines. He moves with a surprising, lopsided gait as if stepping to music only he can hear. His left ear is threaded with three tiny brass rings, each etched with a different tide-mark. Unexpectedly, he keeps one hand perpetually ink-stained from copying sailors' maps and poems. When he works the bar he becomes all soft eyes and practiced motions; when he tells a story his fingers drum rhythms in the air as if keeping time for an invisible band.
“Softly spoken with the clipped intonations of coastal halflings; he peppers sentences with nautical metaphors and will sometimes sing the last line of a sentence instead of speaking it.”
