Vera Kestrel
Rogue (Thief archetype, heavily adapted with artifact access)
Vera Kestrel
Species
Human
Appearance
Lean and quick, she moves like a shadow that remembers music. Her skin has the warm, sun-kissed bronze of someone raised outdoors. Her left arm is covered by an intricate black-inked tattoo that looks like a clockwork tree, roots and gears winding from shoulder to wrist. She keeps her hair in a short, uneven bob of ash-brown strands threaded with one streak of silver that gleams when she tilts her head. Her nose has a small hoop piercing of dull brass. She favors staying half-turned to observers so that they see the curve of her smile but not her eyes at first. Contradiction: when she laughs openly her mouth is all charm and mischief, but her hands will, for a heartbeat, start checking invisible pockets as if she is still working a mark.
“Measured, with a light coastal lilt and the habit of ending sentences on an amused note..”

Distinguishing Features
Clockwork-tree tattoo winding down left arm
Silver streak in ash-brown bob
Small brass nose hoop
Voice
“Low and quick, like a half-whispered bargain; her laughter is bright and sudden.”
Clothing
A fitted +2 studded leather vest layered beneath a Natures Mantle that shimmers with leaflike embroidery. Soft black leathers and dark green cloth form close trousers and a travel scarf. She wears Boots of Elvenkind and thin, velvet-lined Gloves of Thievery. Small hidden pouches line her belt and inside-ankle sheaths keep her blades ready.
Body Language
Fluid, small controlled movements; she often tilts her head to the side like a clock hand checking its position; when tense she fiddles with an invisible thread between her fingers.
