Appearance
Maerwyn moves like someone who has measured wind and tide for decades. He wears a long, hooded coat of oilskin patched in many places, each patch embroidered with a tiny rune or a name stitched in a looping hand. His left forearm is wrapped in a pale leather band studded with small polished shells. When he walks his shoulders tilt slightly to the left as if listening to something only he can hear. Unexpectedly, his fingers are stained with silver paint from an art project he refuses to throw away; on formal occasions he absentmindedly traces the paint with his thumb, calming himself.
