Harahel of First Light
Species
Lantern Archon (Celestial)
Appearance
A perfect sphere of warm, torch-bright light, about two feet in diameter. Harahel's glow is layered: an inner core of steady honey-gold and an outer halo that ripples pale silver when amused or narrows to a pinprick when vexed. The light has a faint motley texture, like oil on water, so that when it drifts close enough you can see slow, webbed currents inside its radius. It emits a barely audible click like a far-off bell when it makes decisions. Unexpectedly, it leaves no shadows directly beneath it; instead the ground around Harahel blooms with a ring of soft, cooling steam when it is over the bathhouse pools, a contradiction—an unshadowed light that moistens the air.
“Monotone, clipped, and precise with dry irony. Uses formal syntax but occasionally slips metaphor drawn from the celestial realms.”

Distinguishing Features
Two-tiered glow: warm gold core and reactive silver halo
Leaves a halo of cooling steam on stone when near water
Small, regular 'bell-click' sound when making choices
Often 'wears' a hovering towel when off duty
Voice
“Monotone and even; dry humor slides through like a thin silver thread. No raised pitch—its 'laughter' is a distant chime.”
Clothing
None; Harahel occasionally drapes a towel over itself to signal 'off-duty'—the towel hovers and dries by warmth rather than contact.
Body Language
Harahel remains perfectly balanced in place; small shifts in its halo and tiny bell-clicks are its 'gestures'. When impatient the halo narrows and skews ever so slightly.
