Compact and nimble with an easy, dancer's gait. He moves like someone who has spent nights on narrow tavern stages and even narrower ship rails. His cheeks are dimpled and freckled, his nose slightly upturned from a childhood fall into a fish cart. He keeps a thin braided leather cord wound around his wrist with tiny shells and a tarnished coin tied inside. Unexpectedly he carries an old, water-stained children's storybook tucked under his cloak that he reads to himself when he thinks no one watches.
