Thrain Iron-Eye
Fighter
Thrain Iron-Eye
Species
Hill Dwarf
Appearance
Thrain is a boulder of a dwarf with skin the color of wet river clay and a beard so dense it looks like matted peat. His most striking feature is his left eye socket, which holds a perfectly spherical orb of polished cold iron instead of a glass eye. He moves with a heavy, rhythmic limp that sounds like a hammer hitting an anvil. Despite his rugged, soot-stained exterior, his hands are surprisingly nimble and clean when handling delicate clockwork or fine blades. He carries the scent of woodsmoke, old grease, and sharp metallic ozone.
“His voice is like gravel being ground in a mortar. He speaks in short, punchy sentences and uses many metallurgical metaphors.”
