Tharizal of the Marginalia
Warlock
Tharizal of the Marginalia
Species
Dragonborn
Appearance
Towering and coiled in the old way of dragonborn elders; scales are hammered and worn like polished brass yet streaked with verdigris in hairline veins. He moves with the slow confidence of someone who has watched centuries pass. His head frills are narrower than is common and tipped with cracked gold leaf. He keeps an ancient leather-bound book strapped to his forearm with strips of faded cerulean ribbon. When he talks his jaw barely moves and a faint blue static dances at the corners of his mouth. Unexpectedly, his left eye is milky and human in appearance rather than reptilian, framed by a ring of tiny silver tattoos in a script only he remembers. He walks as if listening to a distant song only he can hear.
“Measured and rich with archival phrasing; often frames answers as if quoting a text.”

Distinguishing Features
Milky human-like left eye ringed in silver script
A leather-bound book permanently fastened to his left forearm
Tiny static sparks at the corners of his mouth when he whispers spells
Voice
“Low, gravelly, and resonant; when he laughs it sounds like pages being turned in a large book”
Clothing
Layers of patched scholarly robes: deep teal linen under a long bronze-stitched coat of faded midnight blue. Ribbons and sewn-on sigils in places the mind notices unconsciously. Wears fingerless gloves with the tips singed. A satchel bulging with slips of parchment and feather quills hangs at his hip.

Hands always near a book; often opens the air as if turning pages. When troubled he taps a single claw twice against his chest plate in a ritual rhythm.
