Commoner
Thorne Vharok
Species
Tortle
Appearance
Thorne is a broad-shouldered, muscular tortle with a weathered shell engraved faintly with swirling artisan patterns he carved over decades to mark his works. His movements have the slow, deliberate steadiness of a mountain but with unexpected bursts of fluid precision, especially when wielding his hammer or delicate tools. His leathery skin is a tapestry of pale mossy greens and grays, rough but supple. Curiously, his claws are unusually polished and manicured, hinting at an artist’s touch that contrasts with his rugged exterior. His head is topped with dark, seaweed-like tendrils that fall in loose dreadlocks, offsetting his heavy armored shell and the soot-smudged apron always slung over his thick, ringed forearms. When he smiles, rare as it is, a gold tooth glints sharply beneath his broad beak-like mouth, adding an unexpected hint of flair.
“Deliberate, slow-spoken with a low gravelly tone; phrases often reflect craftsmanship metaphors ('measure twice, strike once') and old tortle proverbs. Occasionally cracks dry, sardonic humor when comfortable.”
