Appearance
Elara moves with the economy of someone who has spent decades directing people in storms and halls. Her hair is usually braided into a thick loop at the nape, threaded with thin silver cords that carry the tiny charms of rescued travelers. Her cloak is salt-stiffened linen over a traveling dress patched in places with threadwork from many cultures. Her left forearm bears faded burn scars in the pattern of a fisher's net. She wears a small brass telescope at her belt and a carved whale-bone badge signifying the Wayfarers' Beacon. Unexpectedly, her fingers are ink-stained and the knuckles of those same hands are ringed with polished soot, as if she had recently mended books by lamplight between organizing rescues.
“Measured and clear. Uses short stories and concrete examples.”

Salt-stiffened linen cloak with patches from many port towns, a high-collared traveling dress, leather travel boots softened by long use, and a whale-bone badge of office at the breast pocket. She carries a brass spyglass, a ledger wrapped in oilcloth, and a simple walking staff trimmed with carved runes from coastal shrines.

Measured and open. She keeps her palms visible when speaking, leans forward at moments of sincerity, and tightens her jaw and straightens when steeling for disagreement.
