Iren Valquill
Wizard
Iren Valquill
Species
Human
Appearance
Tall and spare with the tight posture of someone who has spent decades bent over texts. His skin has the dull warmth of a city-dweller who moves between sunlit courtyards and dim arcane workshops. He keeps his notebooks tucked beneath a shoulder sash and walks with a deliberate, inward-stepping gait as if measuring syllables in the air. When he moves quickly his robes flutter like pages turning. Unexpected element: his left sleeve is embroidered with a child's crude constellation that does not match any real star pattern, stitched in a faded copper thread that still faintly hums when moonlight strikes it.
“Measured, precise sentences with occasional delighted asides; uses archival metaphors and mild corrections as a rhetorical habit.”

Distinguishing Features
Left sleeve embroidered with a nonstandard constellation in copper thread
Thin crescent scar along the inside of his wrist from a broken ward crystal
A perpetual ink smudge near his right thumb
Voice
“Soft-spoken with a clear, scholarly cadence and a laugh that sounds like a small bell”
Clothing
Layered robes of muted blues and soot-gray with tailored pockets and inner straps. He always wears a thin leather shoulder sash crammed with quills, a small glass vial, a folded map, and a pencillike stylus. One cuff is embroidered with a child's constellation in copper thread. External pockets are tidy; inner pockets are chaotic.
Body Language
Speaks with his hands almost constantly, as if tracing invisible diagrams. He tilts his head while listening and never looks away from feet-level details like scuffed shoes or ink stains.
