Talurn Emberward
Paladin
Talurn Emberward
Species
Dragonborn (bronze)
Appearance
A broad-shouldered dragonborn with burnished bronze scales that catch the evening light and show a faint golden glow along the ridges of his brow and collar. His plate has been polished to a soft mirror and carries thin hairline scratches that map decades of service. He keeps no helmet so his snout and the pale, curved scar that arcs from his left nostril to the jaw are always visible. He walks with a purposeful gate that still carries a domestic ease, like someone used to greeting townspeople between patrols. Unexpectedly he wears a simple wooden charm on a leather cord over his armor, the charm carved in the crude shape of a fish and stained from years of being held. The charm was made by his husband the mayor and is always warm against his chest.
“Clear, measured, with river-town colloquialisms; uses formal blessings when on duty and softer, teasing tones with loved ones.”

Faint golden glow along the scale ridges
Wooden fish charm worn over armor

Clothing
Well-worn but polished full plate engraved with small runic symbols of warding along the pauldrons and breastplate. Under the plate he wears a threadbare blue tunic and a leather belt with a few pouches. He carries a battered wooden charm on a leather cord and his mayoral signet ring on his left hand.
Body Language
Deliberate, open stance. When relaxed he will prop his longsword in the crook of his arm like a walking staff. When challenged he tightens the shoulders and leans forward slightly, tongue flicking once as a dragonborn sign of focus.
