Tall and gaunt, Varelath moves with preternatural silence, his ashen skin stretched tightly over high cheekbones. Silver tattoos in funereal motifs snake from his jaw to his wrists, shifting with shadowy shimmer. Though his eyes are an icy, pale blue, they're ringed with smudges of perpetual sleeplessness. Unexpectedly, his left hand is missing the pinky and ring finger, replaced with an intricate prosthetic of glass and dark iron, etched with runes that occasionally emit faint, haunting whistles when he gestures.
