Hessa Flameveil
Seer-Minder and Ward-Keeper
Hessa Flameveil
Species
Fire Genasi
Appearance
Hessa moves like heat rising off stone: slow at a distance, fluid and shimmering up close. Her skin seems to be a thin, ever-shifting film of obsidian veined with ember-red fissures that glow brighter when she concentrates; the glow pulses like a heartbeat under the surface. Her eyes are molten glass—liquid amber that never quite reflects light normally but seems to drink it in. Her fingers are long and talon-tipped with tips blackened as if singed; when she gestures, faint ribbons of orange Atrix light spool from the embroidery on her sleeves and curl into the air before dissolving. Unexpectedly, she wears a battered wool scarf from the glacier-watchers of the north, the fabric tattered and cold to the touch despite the heat that surrounds her. Her movement style is deliberate and economical; she never rushes, but when she does move quickly, it is with the sudden, precise twitch of a flame-lash.
“Measured, low, and resonant; she uses short declarative phrases and occasionally slips into seer-phrases: 'The stone speaks' or 'Light remembers'—she uses metaphor to make practical points and seldom wastes words..”

Distinguishing Features
Molten glass eyes that seem to move independently
Veined, glowing skin that flares with emotion
Living Atrix embroidery that moves like small fire-wisps
Worn, cold glacier scarf that never warms
Voice
“Warm and low, with a metallic undertone—like wind through a pipe. She rarely raises it past a simmer.”
Clothing
Layered robes woven from basalt fiber and stitched with living Atrix thread that slowly undulates and emits mote-like lights. A waist-cowl of hammered bronze links holds talismans; fingerless leather gloves are singed on the right hand. A narrow, frost-grey scarf from a northern watch is looped about her neck, incongruously cold to the touch.
Body Language
Minimal gestures; most communication comes from small, precise finger movements that seem to pull at invisible threads. When stressed, she rubs a thumb over the glass bead in her scarf.
