Kasia Brinewright
Commoner
Kasia Brinewright
Species
Human
Appearance
Kasia moves like someone who measures distance in strides and knots, a gait precise and economical. Her forearms are corded like rope, knuckles callused and faintly stained with coal and dye. She keeps a strip of leather tied to her left thumb with tiny brass nails lodged into it, an odd protective talisman she never speaks about. Her smile is quick and lopsided, and when she is thinking she chews the inside of her cheek rather than frown. Unexpectedly, she wears a neatly pressed white kerchief at her throat that looks almost ceremonial against the grime of her clothing.
“Concise, with the occasional salty idiom. She often uses river metaphors and prefers direct phrasing.”

Leather strip tied to left thumb with small brass nails
Callused right forefinger with a faint white scar
Clean white kerchief worn against otherwise grimy clothing
Voice
“Low, steady, with a faint rasp from years of shouting over wind and water”
Clothing
Sturdy leather apron over a patched linen shirt and woolen trousers. A narrow, unexpectedly clean white kerchief at the throat. Worn leather boots and a belt with loops for tools; several nails and a brass token hang from a cord at her hip.
Body Language
Uses short, economical motions. Tends to secure the hem of her work apron before speaking. When worried she cleans her nails with the edge of a tool rather than admit anxiety.
