Saerene Vahl
Monk
Saerene Vahl
Species
Half-Elf
Appearance
A tense, springy half-elf whose motion always looks like the instant before and after a strike. Her face bears a single sweeping tattoo in indigo ink that starts at the left temple, curls across the cheekbone like wind over water, and ends in a narrow spiral beneath the jaw. The tattoo is slightly raised and fades to a faint pearlescent sheen where it passes over a small scar under the eye. Her forearms have faint callus lattices from hours of training. Her movements are light and quick but oddly theatrical; she often finishes a practiced kata with a theatrical bow that includes an eyebrow flourish. Unexpectedly, she keeps a pair of battered city-smith sandals in her pack and will slip them on mid-fight when the terrain becomes bristly or hot.
“Quick, lively, and punctuated by short laughter; uses local dock slang when among workers and more formal, clipped phrasing when speaking to monastery elders.”
