Appearance
Silas has a frame like a winter-starved heron, long and slightly precarious. He moves with a calculated softness, as if trying not to disturb the dust in the air. His most striking feature is not his face, which is weary and sharp-featured, but the way he seems to vibrate at a frequency slightly different from the world around him. His movements are punctuated by a rhythmic clicking of a small tuning fork he holds. Contradicting his frail appearance, his hands are calloused and steady like a master stonecarver.
