Caelum Vorren
Warlock (Patron: The Veiled Accord - an ancient, urbane fey-like conspiracy)
Caelum Vorren
Species
Human (Commonfolk of the River Marches)
Appearance
Caelum moves like someone who spent years steering a keel through fog: steady, economical, and always a half-beat ahead of any shifting breeze. He wears a long coat of dark, oil-slicked leather that gleams like river water in moonlight; the collar is lined with the faded blue of a river guild, embroidered with a single silver knot that looks like a stylized eye. His face is lined by salt and worry: a thin vertical scar bisects his left eyebrow and tucks into a pale crescent of tissue above his cheekbone. His left hand is tattooed with a lattice of tiny runes that shimmer faintly when he speaks; the right hand is adorned with three thin silver rings, each bearing a different pawned sigil. Unexpectedly, his eyes occasionally flash a warm amber—an inhuman glint that shows most when he smiles, which is rarer than his sighs. When he walks, he tends to tilt slightly to the right, as if listening to an internal current. Up close, his breath smells faintly of bergamot and something metallic (old coins, perhaps).
“Measured, dryly ironic; he favors economical sentences and often punctuates them with a soft chuckle. He sprinkles river idioms and archaic nautical terms into conversations—'steady her' for calm, 'taken aback' as a metaphor for surprise.”

Distinguishing Features
Vertical scar through left eyebrow
Faint rune lattice tattoo on left hand that glows when magic is used
Three silver rings: one plain, one with a pawn-shaped seal, one with a chipped green stone
Voice
“Low, smooth, slightly husky from years of wet air; inflections rise on questions but fall into mild amusement on statements.”
Clothing
Oil-slick leather coat with blue guild embroidery, charcoal linen shirt, dark breeches, high boots with river mud varnish, a narrow scarf patterned with tiny stars, and a battered tricorn hat he rarely removes indoors.
Body Language
Holds himself with restrained poise; fingers often curl around the rings on his right hand. When agitated he will drift toward shadowed corners and lower his voice.
