Species

Appearance
Mirelle walks like someone who grew up on uneven roots rather than cobblestones: knees slightly bent, steps deliberately silent, weight almost never forward. Her skin is freckled and sun-creased at the nose; she wears a single long plait wound with dried lavender, copper wire, and a tiny iron bolt that she never takes out. Across her forearms are faint pale scars in winding, leaf-like patterns from an old bramble incident. Her cloak is a patchwork of mossy greens and browned linen, stitched in a spiral pattern that mimics tree rings. When she moves her cloak rustles like dry leaves; when she is still, birds have been known to test the air near her shoulders. The unexpected element: around her left wrist she wears a delicate lace cuff—fine whitework obviously made by city hands—contrasting with her otherwise rough, forest-forged attire.
“Soft-spoken with rural inflections; uses precise natural vocabulary (soil, graft, sap) and slips into blunt, incisive phrasing when passionate. Occasionally sprinkles old grove proverbs: 'The uprooted scream longer than the felled.”

Distinguishing Features
Long plait threaded with lavender and an iron bolt
Leaf-shaped pale scars on forearms from a bramble bed
Delicate white lace cuff on left wrist (contradicting rustic look)
Tiny wooden whistle carved like a thrush that she keeps tucked behind her ear
Voice
“Low, warm, with a slight rural cadence; becomes sharper and quicker when roused.”
Clothing
Worn hide jerkin (patched), linen shirt embroidered with small fungi motifs, a moss-threaded cloak with deep hood, soft leather boots lined with sheepskin, a small satchel of herbs and a carved wooden talisman at her belt.
Body Language
Leans toward living things; when someone is lying she stares at their hands rather than their eyes. Often touches bark, leaves, or the hem of her cloak while thinking.
