Short, squat, and deliberately immaculate; he moves with a brisk, conservative economy of motion and a habit of measuring distances with his eyes. His beard is carefully braided into three cords, each tied with a thin strip of merchant's ribbon in different faded colors, and threaded with a single small coin on the left side. Scars cross his knuckles and one thin white scar slices through his left eyebrow. He wears a small monocle pinned to a chain that he flips up and down when thinking. Unexpected element: he wears a child's patchwork mitten over his left hand when in public, not because it is needed but because it was made by someone he could not bear to offend.
