Elara Moonsong
Head Warden and ranger captain
Elara Moonsong
Species
Half-elf
Appearance
Elara moves like someone who has learned to fit into a forest. Her step is quiet, toes angled to make less noise, shoulders relaxed but ready. She favors stillness until the exact moment action is required. Her cloak is mottled green and brown, patched in obvious places with small embroidered moonsong notes sewn by children of Greenroot Hollow. Unexpectedly, she wears a polished silver ring on her thumb that is too bright and urban-looking compared to the rest of her gear. In sunlight her half-elf ears catch a faint scar that runs along the rim of the left ear, thin and pale, a souvenir from a trapped snare long ago.
“Measured and low, with rural cadences softened by Elvish vowel pulls. Uses few filler words and often addresses people by title or occupation rather than personal name at first.”

Distinguishing Features
Thin pale scar along the rim of left ear
Silver thumb ring that contrasts with rugged gear
Moonsong embroidery on cloak sewn by villagers
Voice
“Low, steady, and unhurried with a faint rasp from years of outdoor wind; sings softly to soothe during tense moments”
Clothing
Layered tunic and leather jerkin in shades of green and brown, patched and waterproofed. A hooded cloak with hidden inner pockets, soft gloves with finger tips cut for archery, and a sash with pouches for herbs and tracking chalk. She wears heavy boots reinforced at the toes and a bright silver thumb ring that looks out of place.
Body Language
When listening she leans slightly forward with a hand near her bow, as if ready to intercept sound. She tilts her head like a hawk when sizing someone up. In relaxed company she unconsciously smooths the moonsong embroidery on her cloak.
