Barbarian (Path of the Berserker)
Cedo Alteram (called Zylkyne by a few old sailors)
Species
Tiefling
Appearance
Cedo moves like a hulking wave — slow and patient until he decides to crash. His skin is a dusky, ash-tinged crimson that seems to collect the dust of every road he's walked on; his horns spiral backwards in knotted ivory ridges and are scored with nicks where weapons once struck. His beard is a single, coarse braid threaded with tiny metal rings made from broken weapon fragments. His clothing is a mismatched tumble of scars: a sleeveless leather vest stitched over a patched chain shirt, a wide studded belt housing hilts and shards, and a pair of oil-stained wool breeches tucked into calf-high boots. He favors open-fingered gloves on one hand and leaves the other bare — a superstition carried from a night when bare fists won him a town. When he walks, stray sparks sometimes flick at his feet as if his steps rub on embers. Unexpectedly, hanging from his belt in a small glass vial is a neat bundle of pressed feathers — tiny, immaculate and soft, like a child's comfort; it contradicts the rest of his brutal, battered look and people find it oddly disarming.
“Gruff, measured; uses short sentences in battle talk and long, oddly poetic phrases when recounting the past. Often repeats the phrase 'Give me another' when satisfied or when asking for help.”

Distinguishing Features
Spiral horns with multiple chisel marks (some old, some new)
Braid in beard threaded with tiny rings of broken weapons
A blind cloud in his left eye that he covers with an eye-patch when sleeping
A vial of pressed feathers tied to his belt (clean and intact despite travel)
Numerous healed fractures visible as raised, pale seams on forearms and ribs
Voice
“Low, rasping and gravelly, with an odd softening when he speaks of the past or children. He sometimes hums a simple two-note cadence before a fight.”
Clothing
Torn leather vest over patched chain, wide studded belt with dangling hilts and shards, oil-stained wool breeches, calf boots, and a frayed travel cloak with a sigil of a now-defunct pit-fighting ring
Body Language
Keeps shoulders squared and chest forward; when relaxed he toys with a ring in his beard. In fights he leans into strikes, often smashing with hips and whole body rather than isolated arm swings.
