Jasper Thornbuckle
Fighter
Jasper Thornbuckle
Species
Lightfoot Halfling
Appearance
A compact, almost perpetually coiled figure who moves with the economy of a rope walker. He wears short, carpenterlike hair that curls at the temple and a thin scar like a pale river running from his left eyebrow down across his cheek. His cheeks are perpetually freckled from time spent outdoors. He favors a battered leather breastplate over a threadbare green tunic and keeps a small brass compass sewn into the inside of his coat at chest level. When standing still he tends to rest on the balls of his feet and keeps his hands busy—mending a strap, tapping a rhythm, or arranging pebbles in an invisible line. Unexpected element: despite being a soldier he has a habit of carrying a small, fluffy toy mouse stitched from faded festival cloth that he tucks into his helmet when preparing for battle.
“Deliberate and low for a halfling with a nasal thread when excited; sprinkles soldier jargon and short clipped orders when on duty.”
