Irilyn of the Meadowclutch
Cleric
Irilyn of the Meadowclutch
Species
Butterfly humanoid
Appearance
A living kaleidoscope that moves like water. Her wings are broad and layered like stained glass, each panel rimmed in iridescent veins that ripple when she breathes. The wings shimmer through a hundred colors depending on angle and light, from pearly blues to sudden flashes of sunset orange. Small, pearl-like dust clings to the trailing edges of each wing and drifts off in tiny motes whenever she flutters. Her skin has a soft satiny sheen and is freckled along the shoulder blades where wing-couplings meet. She wears a polished bronze shield shaped like a closed butterfly on her back when at rest. Unexpectedly, her feet are callused and soil-stained from tending gardens and graves, a rough contrast to the delicate filigree and embroidered silks she favors. When she walks she tilts slightly forward as if listening to the ground.
“Soft, melodic cadence with frequent metaphors to seasons and wings; hums between sentences when consoling someone.”
