Kurog Halvren
Paladin
Kurog Halvren
Species
Half-Orc
Appearance
Very tall and hulking with the uneven gait of someone who has carried weight for decades. His plate armor is dented, patched, and heavily stained: rust blooms like old freckles along the seams, but the chestplate is scoured where an emblem once sat and is now faintly visible. Scratches and weapon gouges run in parallel tracks across the pauldrons. He grips the remnants of a battered shield in his left hand - a crescent of warped metal clinging to leather straps - while his right holds a broad axe with a mirrored, almost aggressively polished blade that catches torchlight like a new coin. His mail under the plate is singed in places and the surcoat hangs tattered. Movement is deceptively deliberate - he shifts weight slowly as though counting the cost of every step. The unexpected element: despite the grime and rust, a small patch of embroidered blue silk - a child's stitch - peeks from beneath his gorget, clean and unmarred.
“Gruff and economical; uses short sentences and old military turn-of-phrase; voice softens when reminiscing.”
