Garran Veyl
Paladin
Garran Veyl
Species
Human
Appearance
Tall and deliberate. He moves with the steady cadence of a man who has trained with a heavy shield since childhood. His skin is weathered from sun and travel, small white scars map his forearms like tally marks. He wears his long hair tied back with a strip of crimson leather; a single silver braid threaded into the tail shows a childhood vow. His left pauldron is embossed with a faded icon of a weeping tower, its paint rubbed to a soft sheen by years of use. Surprisingly, he keeps one perfectly preserved silk glove tucked under his armor as if guarding something delicate. The contrast of battered plate and the silk glove makes him oddly poetic.
“Low, deliberate, an accent from the harbor that rounds certain vowels; he uses old sea-proverbs occasionally..”

Distinguishing Features
Silver braid in tied hair
Cracked bell shard wired into his shield's rim
Small white tally scars on his forearms
Voice
“Gruff but warm; a gentle rasp when he laughs. He lowers his volume to draw listeners closer when he speaks of duty.”
Clothing
Well-worn breastplate over a heavy wool gambeson, dark green tabard marked by his order, a battered kite shield, travel boots softened by miles, and the incongruous silk glove hidden beneath his belt.
Body Language
Stands squared, feet grounded, shoulders low but steady. He leans slightly toward whoever speaks when listening, folding his shield arm across his chest as a sign of attention rather than defense.
