Bromm Ironwhin
Fighter
Bromm Ironwhin
Species
Mountain Dwarf
Appearance
Bromm moves like a work-hardened anvil given purpose: deliberate, solid, and oddly graceful when he handles animals. He is broad-shouldered with knotted forearms and hands that smell faintly of leather and horse sweat. His beard is kept plaited into three thick ropes bound with battered brass rings—each ring stamped with the sigils of mounts he once broke or saved. His skin is creased with sun lines and a thin white scar runs from his left temple to the corner of his eye where a hoof once glanced him. He wears a short, heavily patched leather riding coat over chain mail: practical, patched, and still oiled. Unexpectedly, tucked under his belt alongside a tinker’s roll is a tiny glass vial of sea water that he turns obsessively between his fingers when thinking—a remnant of the day he left the coast long ago. When he walks among horses he softens, speaking in murmurs; among townsfolk he adopts the blunt cadence of a foreman.
“Concise, clipped sentences; infrequent use of dwarven idioms; softens voice around animals. Uses curt commands with apprentices but slips easily into gentle, coaxing tones for frightened horses.”

Distinguishing Features
Three-plait beard with brass rings
Thin white scar from temple to eye
Small glass vial of sea water tucked at his belt
Callused fingertips stained by rope and harness oil
Voice
“Low and gravelly with a measured cadence; carries a slight coastal lilt in certain vowels when he’s reminiscing about the sea.”
Clothing
Oiled leather riding coat over mail, heavy leather boots caked with stall-clay, worn leather gloves with fingertips reinforced, a wide belt with hooks and pouches, brass rings braided into his beard, a faded navy scarf from his youth tucked into his collar.
Body Language
Prefers to stand with hands on hips or arms crossed; when comfortable he strokes his beard and steadies the vial of sea water; around horses he lowers himself to their eye level and leans in to listen.
