Lean as a tightened rope with movements like a cat avoiding puddles. Skin carries a faint sheen as if permanently kissed by salt spray. Fingers are callused at the tips and perpetually stained with tar and ink. He smells of lemon oil and old coin. He walks with one shoulder slightly higher as if always listening to someone perched there. Contradiction: though his face is lined and wary, his clothes are immaculate and his coin belt always polished.
