Tahlin Maris
Wizard (Enchanter specialization)
Tahlin Maris
Species
Human
Appearance
A slim, deliberate man who moves as if listening to music only he can hear. He keeps one shoulder slightly higher than the other, as if balancing a book no one else can see. His robe is intricately stitched with tiny, shimmering rune-threads that ripple when he speaks. He wears a curved brass monocle over his left eye that fogs for a few heartbeats whenever he tells an outright falsehood. Contradiction: despite a scholar's neatness his sleeves are always dusted with a splash of indigo paint that he never explains.
“Measured, often punctuated with metaphors about music and weaving. Uses soft rhetorical questions to invite confession.”

Distinguishing Features
Brass monocle over left eye that fogs when he lies
Scattered tiny burn scar on fingertips from arcane practice
Indigo paint stain on right sleeve
Voice
“Warm tenor, slightly nasal when excited, softens to a careful whisper when sharing regrets”
Clothing
Deep charcoal robe trimmed with silver sigils and thin glass beads; a layered vest of teal satin and a leather belt with pouches for inks and charms. He wears soft-soled boots and a long scarf of shifting color that he insists was a gift from a fae.
Body Language
He tilts his head often and touches objects lightly as if testing their tune. In conversation he leans forward when curious, steps back and folds his hands when judging moral questions, and closes his eyes briefly when remembering painful moments.
