Garran Osprey
Species
Human
Appearance
A weathered man who looks like a map of seasons. His skin is wind-creased and freckled, with a faint silver scar that runs from temple to jaw like a river. He keeps his gray-streaked hair short at the sides and longer on top, often braided into a single thin tail bound with a leather thong made of many tiny colored threads. He moves with the sure, careful tread of someone used to rough ground and sleeping with his clothes on. Unexpectedly, he wears a child's sewn-on patch at his left shoulder depicting a tiny yellow osprey. It is bright and oddly new against the rest of his battered cloak and suggests a tenderness that contradicts his practical, scarred appearance.
“Measured and image-rich; uses short sea- and weather-based metaphors and rarely wastes words..”

Distinguishing Features
Silver scar running from temple to jaw
Single braided tail of hair bound with multi-colored threads
Bright yellow osprey patch sewn onto left shoulder
Voice
“Low, gravelly from years of wind and salt; patient cadence that tightens when he lies or withholds something.”
Clothing
Layered travel-worn leather and wool: a patched dark green cloak lined with oilcloth, a studded leather jerkin, high boots with greased soles, and a broad belt that carries knives, a whetstone, and small pouches. The left shoulder bears a stitched yellow osprey patch that looks out of place.
Body Language
He tilts his head as if listening to currents and wind, fingers unconsciously tracing the rim of a cup when nervous, and always keeps the space between himself and others framed so he can move either backward or forward without obstruction.
