Loras Greenveil
Species

Appearance
Loras of the Greenveil moves with the precise, deliberate walk of someone who once marched in processions and later walked burial paths. He wears a hooded overcoat of moss-green wool that has been patched at the hem with brighter cloth in places only he knows. His left forearm is wrapped in a faded cloth strip-mitten braided with a curl of silver wire, a makeshift gauntlet from some past wound. When still, he habitually folds that arm across his chest as if listening to something under his ribs. Unexpectedly, tucked into a pocket of his heavy coat is a small origami crane made from a scrap of royal stationery — a leftover tenderness that contradicts the austerity of his bearing.
“Soft-voiced, deliberate, with occasional clipped River-dialect syllables. Uses rural metaphors and rarely swears; when he does the word is heavy.”

Distinguishing Features
A faded vertical scar across his left eyebrow, pale as old thread.
The origami crane in his pocket — often wrinkled from handling.
Braid of silver wire wrapped into the left forearm bandage.
Voice
“Low, steady baritone with a river-soft lilt; patient inflection that tightens when he’s angry.”
Clothing
Thick moss-green wool overcoat patched with assorted fabrics, leather boots greased for wet ground, a dull bronze medallion of Aelora on a leather thong, and a linen sash with carved bone beads.
Body Language
Measured and economical; he tilts his head when considering a person and keeps his shoulders squared. When lying or concealing, he fingers the origami crane in his pocket until it is crumpled.
