Elara Vane
Master Salvager
Elara Vane
Species
Human (Salt-Shore Descent)
Appearance
Elara is a woman forged by sea spray and sun. Her skin is a map of her history, tanned to a deep bronze and etched with fine lines from years of squinting at the horizon. She moves with a heavy, purposeful roll, a gait known as the deck-lean that makes her look slightly out of place on steady land. Her most striking feature is her eye patch, not of cloth, but carved from the iridescent, serrated shell of the giant crab that took her eye. Despite her rugged exterior, her hands are surprisingly graceful, often seen weaving complex knots out of habit. She carries the constant scent of pine tar, old rope, and sharp citrus.
“Gravelly and direct, often cutting off others' flowery language with short, salty commands. She uses obscure nautical metaphors for everything from romance to accounting.”
