Veshra Nal'keth
Storm Sorcerer (Sorcerer 19)
Veshra Nal'keth
Species
Sea-elf
Appearance
Veshra moves like a current—sinuous, never abrupt. Her skin has the pearl-sheen of deep water, mottled with faint, silvered scales along her forearms and collarbone that catch the light like fish scales in sunshine. Her left hand is wrapped in a weathered leather bracer inlaid with beaten copper and a single crackled aquamarine shard; when she uses magic, tiny motes of salt fog blossom from that shard and briefly hang in the air. Her hair is long, dark, and wet-looking even when dry, threaded with thin, sea-glass beads and a single braided strip of white whale-bone; it drifts around her shoulders as if underwater. She wears practical, salt-stained naval garments layered beneath a ceremonial blue-green cloak embroidered with wind- and tide-motifs—an unexpected contradiction: beneath the elegant cloak, her trousers are reinforced, patched, and covered in soot from spent lightning lines. Her gait is calm and deliberate, but when angry the motion becomes staccato, like a ship shuddering through choppy seas. Up close, she smells faintly of ozone and citrus peel.
“Measured and melodic, with the occasional clipped seafaring idiom. She uses nautical metaphors and will rarely speak in absolutes—prefers conditional phrasing ('if the tide wishes it.”

Silvered scale pattern along forearms and neck
Aquamarine shard set in cracked copper bracer on left wrist
A white whale-bone braid threaded into her hair
Small burn-shaped scars across the left side of her torso (hidden beneath clothing)
Voice
“A low, musical alto with a hint of sea-breath; when she laughs it sounds like rain on metal.”
Clothing
Layered navy and teal leathers and fabric: a high-collared weathercoat, a sash of woven rope, knee-high boots with bronze clips, and a ceremonial cloak embroidered with constellations of tides. Practical belts hold charts, glass vials, and a compass that never points north.
Body Language
Slow measured movements when relaxed; when focused she taps the bracer with her fingertips, and when angry her shoulders hunched forward as if bracing for impact.
